Morning
Miserable weather here 😞
CG - noproblems re the yarn - glad you found some 🙂
CK - hope you get your internet sorted. I know how we felt when ours went off for over 2 weeks 😞

last week we stayed at my Aunts, she has a 35 yr old tv with just the 4 basic channels ( she can't pick up 5) I didn't miss our full virgin package at all.. but I couldn't wait to switch the net on as soon as I got home!
it's cloudy here.., which is a good excuse to shove the holiday washing in the dryer...

Well we have stayed connected for a couple of hours now 😄
Haven't rang BT yet, I'm waiting for hubby to come home & ring :^O thing is neither of us wants to ring as last time it took numerous calls to sort it & each time we could hardly understand what the person on the other end was saying.
Is it just me that gets embarrassed constantly saying ...sorry, can you repeat that again please 😐

I do too CK, in fact I try to get hubby to ring every time, even if it's nothing to do with him at all. I'd much rather speak to someone face to face than on the phone. I'd never dream of ringing about something technical because even if I could understand their accent I wouldn't have a clue what they were talking about!:^O

Do BT have an online contact facility?
We are with Virgin and they have an overseas call centre ( well it sounds like it's overseas ) if however you use the online facitlity an engineer rings you and they are much easier to understand!

Whoops, I didn't mean to post that, I was just looking on google, found this but then thought better of it but then clicked post instead of cancel!:^O
I've got an excuse though, I'm exhausted! I've just spent the last two hours cleaning my kitchen floor!:_|
08-08-2011 8:28 PM
Boo!
Can you come and clean my floor please CG 🙂
Hope everythings ok now CK, I have to add i have got far more done, not being on the threads all day 😉
Went out saturday for a lovely very long walk in the peak district, I was shattered but it was worth it, we had some wonderful views.

Evening. Spending the evening watching Sky News. 21 year old is in London with his girlfriend for his birthday present. Couldn't have picked a worse time to send them. :_|

Isn't that always the way huggles!:-( The last two times my daughter has flown it's co-incided with those volcano ash thingies. Luckily son's stag do (not his, the one he arranged as best man) in Oslo was just over when all those killings took place.
Your son will be fine as long as he's not in the affected areas and just keeps a look out for any trouble starting. It's still a worry when you're a mum though, isn't it?:-(
Sorry gems, I've done my quota of kitchen floor cleaning for the foreseeable future!:-D
08-08-2011 8:53 PM
I'm sure they'll be fine. 🙂

Hope your Son keeps in touch with you Huggles, mines also planning on going to London later this week with his GF, I may ring him tomorrow to try & change his mind ..... bet that goes down well :^O
Internet not too bad today, only had to reset about 6 times upto now 😐 will study that help page later, thanks CG 🙂

Meant to say I have now plugged our old router back in, although that was replaced for the same reason :|:^O

Isn't it nice when your children visit and always bring 'gifts'? Saturday both son and daughter came and brought me chidren. Sunday son came and took child back but left me a dress that needed new buttons and a good iron. Monday daughter came and brought me a top that needed the seam repairing, and tomorrow son is coming again and bringing his child and her friend for me to feed and look after. They're just so generous.:|
08-08-2011 11:58 PM
Lol CG, how would they manage without you :^O
Hope you've heard from your Son Huggles & that he is ok, mine rang his dad about an hour ago to say he didn't know what to do about going to London, they are due to go on Wed & have theatre tickets booked for 2 nights while they are there as a birthday treat for GF (on my credit card X-() GF booked the accomadation so he didn't know where he was staying until today ...... turns out its in Peckham 😞
I so hope they don't go but can't help think of all the money there going to lose through no fault of there own as they were both on such a tight budget.

He's safe where he is but getting home tomorrow may be difficult. He has to come through Clapham & Croydon. Have lots of friends in Clapham & Battersea. They are all trapped. 😞
Have a good friend in Coulsdon who has a London limo company. He's not going to work tomorrow, everything is cancelled but he says he will go & collect my son via backroads if the trains are disrupted.
09-08-2011 12:29 AM
What a good friend 🙂 bet you can't get him home fast enough :-x
My Son's in Liverpool & he's just updated his FB status to say he's heard riots have now started there & in Leeds 😮
09-08-2011 8:19 AM
Shakes head sadly at the rioting - and the innocnet people being affected by it, not good 😞
CG - you wouldn't know what to do with yourself if you didn't have all those 'gifts' - at least you can feel wanted 😄
Sun is out and I'm going shopping later, how exciting !
09-08-2011 4:31 PM
Such wonderful gifts CG, I would feel compelled to give them such cherrished gifts in return, you know such as a shopping list for ink removal, prozac, cotton, prozac, chicken feed, prozac lol 😉
Hope all children get home safely, i'd be worried sick.
Shame the costs cannot be claimed on government insurance, they would probably deal with things more effectivly then. I heard it had spreadout CK, hope your lad has a safe stay.

Morning
Feeling a bit stunned today after bad news at the hospital yesterday. It seems my Mum has the big C.
Trying to support her, but facing surgery at the age of 93 is so hard for her.
