I have just sorted out my filing cabinet & have loads of old bank statements to get rid of. Do you think it's safe to put them in the recycling? There is no more info on them than on a cheque is there?

Im not sewing the box today as Helen is to busy so hopefully we will make a start on it in the morning 😐

I have a shredder & will do the credit card statements but it's going to take forever to do the lot. Nowhere to have a bonfire.:-(

Maggie, I just tear off & shred the bit with my address & bank acc no on,....... I wouldn't risk putting that bit in the bin 😞

The stuff ion our recycle bin gets sorted so would never put owt important in there but the stuff in our grey bin, ie ordinary household waste' goes to the incinerator so I just rip it up and bury it well:-D

Afternoon all.

Late start for me as littlies actually managed sports day this morning, no running races (substituted obstacles and slaloms to slow them down ) as they had to use the school yard as the playing field is flooded.

There were a couple of nursery children that I think were smaller than the tennis rackets they had to carry :^O

Lilybud excelled herself as this is the first time she has used her prosthetic for anything like this (and kept it on 🙂 )

Kaysha had a whale of a time and a came 2nd in the egg and spoon (only cos she cheated ;\ ...........bless :^O).

Maggie I normally burn my statements or if not always double shred them.

I am watching the torch approach Weymouth on the live video streaming. Hundreds of people in Bridport watched it being run through. It's now being driven to the next runner.:-)

Mags, you could always soak your documents, once they're all pulpy (i think I made that word up) & unreadable then you can squish the excess water out & bin

I have had an afternoon shredding so it's all sorted. Good idea though. Five minutes in our monsoon rain would have done it.

The torch is nearly here & the rain is sheeting it down.:-( Such a shame for all the celebrations in town tonight.
