Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

I've managed to get back, my lappie hasn't had an internet connection for a few days, daughter came round today & informed me that somehow I'd managed to switch the internet off. She fiddled with something & got it all back again!

had an early mothers day today & seen both girls & thier families & got flowers, plants, choccies, teddies & cards.

Won't be seeing them tomorrow as they are both otherwise engaged. Youngest ones son is playing in an important football match in North London tomorrow & then, as it's the last game of the season they are having a team party, to which all parents etc are invited & my eldest daughter is driving to Ashford, Kent to sign the contract for a new build house that they are buying. Contract has to be signed by monday & they were only informed on friday that thier mortgage paperwork had gone through. We'll miss them but they could never afford anything as good in London.

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

By the way, if anyone is on facebook the house buying is still a secret as my daughter doesn't want anyone to know until they get a 'moving in' date (poss May/June).

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

Good luck with your daughter's  house move Gina, and the football match.

I had half my mother's day presents and card today as son won't be here tomorrow.  I got a mug each from the granddaughters that says I love my grandma (yes, both the same) and a box of funny shaped fairy cake cases from each of them. ????   I got a funny shaped fairy cake tin (what a coincidence, my new cake cases are just the right shape for the tin :O) and a glass cake stand with glass domed lid.  Do you think they're hinting at something? :^O

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

do you think that they like cakes? 2 cup cakes were Sassys reward for sweeping up her baby sisters dropped milky buttons.

Ben the Beagle is now permanantly living with a family member in Berkshire, with other dogs to play with (& to calm him down) & lots of farmland to expend his energy.

My grandchildren wouldn't have needed a brush and dustpan to clean up dropped milky buttons!;-)

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

I was surprised that she didn't 'hoover' them up herself, but she was in a cleaning everything mood this morning (& was already stuffed as granddad had made her pancakes stuffed with her favourite strawberries)

Glad you had a good day Stan. I had a lovely time at the stitch and craft show too. Took a couple of pictures so I'll put them on later.

Yes, I mean you Stan 😉

Were going to have a drive over to see MIL soon so I'm hoping she's having a "good" day, she wasn't too great on our last visit a couple of weeks ago  :-x

Still waiting to hear Sons arrived safely but I think it will be lunchtime before he lands, I haven't checked the time differences yet  🙂
