Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

Agree about the hat, Felt would be easiest to work with as no fraying, but you'll need interfacing or card to get the shape.

I just knitted something similar for my snowman :^O

Glad you are managing to sleep Hippy.;)

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

Could some kind person have a look at this bag and tell me what the fabric/material pattern is called?  I've seen quite a few variations - always stripe/flowers - and I'd love to get curtains in it but I don't know what to search for.  I've asked the seller, but she doesn't know either.

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

There she is, the lovely Merlin!  I'm fine, how's things with you?  I had a quick scroll through this thread and see that you've been making bunting and goodness knows what... is there any limit to your talents, woman? 😄

I took it into my little feather head to try cross stitch.  I bought a kit (bought several actually) and not one of them suitable for a beginner, but I've been dilligently plugging away, chanelling the creative spirits of Patch and Cat-Knitter and every other needle-maestro I could think of.... it's not really working. :^O

Awww, they're cute ck and suitable for boy or girl.  I've just ordered a pattern and some chunky wool to knit some similar ones for my grandchildren.

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

You could make yourself a little egg cosy hippy, to keep your toes warm.  You could make a different colour for each day of the week.

The friend I told you about (with the snapped whatsit) has taken his boot off. He's supposed to keep it on another three weeks and then see the doc again (and who knows what he'll be told to wear then?) but it was so big he can't get his trousers over it and his wife's skirts didn't match his tops!:^O
