Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

Oo la la ! Norty merlin.

I've never had much chance to try curry as hubby wo'nt eat anything like that, so I got one from Tesco to try. It was called vindaloo. I didn't like it.:|  It tasted ok but I was scared I'd set the tablecloth on fire when I breathed out.  I only ate the chicken and put the rest in the bin because I daren't give it to Lottie or the chickens.  I had to fill up on freshly made apple sponge pudding and custard.:-x

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

Send her round here merlin.  Can she clean windows? Muck out chickens?

Daughter's just been round injecting day old chicks in the neck with vaccine.  The neck is thinner than a pencil, you have to watch the needle doesn't go right through and stick you in the finger!:O

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

:Ovindaloo is one of the hottest curries you can get chickengrandma

i am not a fan but if you want something more mellow, try a tikka masala, it has a flavour but isnt spicy at all, although its an indian curry, it was invented here in Scotland, as people here couldnt take the heat of vindaloo etc

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

Korma is mild & creamy as is Butter Chicken or Pasanda. I love curry but couldn't eat a Vindaloo! 😮 lol

I don't think I'll get it again.

I was just telling my son about merlin's flange.  His reaction?   😐                He thinks we all belong on the funny farm.:^O

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

At least he listens merlin, mine keeps interupting with, 'Is this going to take long?' or 'Can't you hurry it up a bit?' or 'Is this one of your epics? Can't you just give me the important bits?'  I don't know why I bother anyway because he never remembers what I've said, and then he starts with all the questions, 'Who's coming?...Why?...When? Who's coming with them?' etc.etc.  X-(  X-(  X-(

he does listen, even when i think he isnt, he listens to them as well, but EVERYONE else? he says, "bulletpoints", i have to laugh because when he is on the phone i usually know the person on the other end, and can imagine their faces:^O

i alos know when he isnt listening to other peoples waffle, he glazes over and i know he is "working in his head" thinking measurements etc:^O

We might do that too but being women we can do it without making it so obvious, and follow the story as well!:^O

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

Morning all. It's a rather dull, grey morning here. It has been so sunny all week I was getting used to it. I have finished my bag & will post some pictures later.:-D

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

Blue one is made from 6 circles of fabric folded in half & gathered to make petals . Join petals together add botton in centre .

Red is towo circles one large one small garhere around edges add button .

Both broaches have a broach pin  glued on the back or you could use a safety pin 🙂
