Hmm how to explain slipstich? well thats what I call it, finishing off a gap by hand, so you can't see it from the outside. Its what I would do but can anyone explain that for me?

No! :^O I do a ladder stitch but can't explain that either.:-D Google is your friend! ;-)

I looked at the squares today on youtube, its quite simple but adding the wadding etc and fancy stitches and the sides looks like hard work lol

im just googling loads printing loads off to read about 🙂

and printing off maggies advice aswell as others :), will have to buy you a drink to say thank you when ive got the hang of things lol :)

Gosh i have been busy today
but i did manage to do some sewing yey!!!

i made a start, on a monopoly pillowcase,
(please dont ask:^O )

made the front, and back(with flap)
just need to put it together now
i really wished i had time to finish it, but so much going on, and week after next there wont even be a floor in there:_|

it will be worth it in the end, i am just keen to keep going, loads of materials have arrived, and i just want to sew

Sounds good Merlin - any pics?


I have finished my hand quilting and my fingers are a bit sore, so I'm knocking off for the night. Stitching through 2 layers of cotton and 6oz wadding is not easy.

Will do the binding tomorrow when my fingers have recovered ;)

It makes my back ache as my table isn't really high enough for cutting out. Also I have been gardening today so I am a bit stiff.
