Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

Not doing MDCC this month as I will be away. These aren't my design so wouldn't make tham to sell without permission. Also the metal clasps cost £4/5 each! The popper purses are a posibility though as I could adapt those.:)

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

I like the purses Maggie.  They're nice.

Grace's nan came earlier and she's brought us a picture of Grace taken at nursery.  I'll see if I can upload it.

When her mum had to go to the hospital the other day, Grace kept telling everyone her full name and that she's three.

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

She certainly is Merc.  I'll be seeing her next week so hopefully, I'll have some more photos then.  She's going on a little holiday to North Wales tomorrow until Friday.  That should be fun.

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

I think that they're going to Prestatyn Stan.  They are going in a caravan or two as there's quite a few of them going.

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

Used to go there very often and have wonderful child hood memories of cockels off the sea front followed by ice-cream on the beach.

Rhyl / Prestatyn about 45 mins to an hr away in the car

Prestatyn is lovely but Rhyl can be a bit touristy / tat in the centre and a little run down inland but has had a huge regenertaion going on along the sea front and is a nice stroll now with donkey rides on the beach.

Are they going to "Robin Hood" if so theres a lovely family park and crazy golf there and a very friendly kids club

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

Thanks for the info Stan.  I've no idea which site they're going to.  The one you mention sounds good so I hope that they're staying there.  Steph's SIL and her partner and their little boy are going as well so Grace will have someone to play with.  James, Grace's cousin, is nearly 18 months old and they get on like a house on fire.

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

If they want a day out while they are there I can highly recommend Colwyn Bay welsh mountain zoo ................ not too far away and great value for money especially if you get there early and spend the whole day there , fab zoo, great shows ,lovely grounds , well worth taking a picnic (food is a little expensive) and getting a family ticket

Sometimes there are discounts vouchers available online as well if they decide they may want to go.

If nothing else they can take a peek at the website and see what they think

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

No problem Books I always think that if you're going to go somewhere on holiday and know someone local it's worth asking them about the place and attractions and pit falls before you go as nothing better than local knowledge, so not trying to poke me nose in but would really like them to have a fab time when they visit the place I live and love

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

I know where you're coming Stan and I do appreciate it.  I've rung Steph and she says they will pay the zoo a visit.  Grace loves animals but I'm certain about James.  I think he will do though because I think that all children love animals.

Thanks again for your help Stan.  It's very kind of you.

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

evening peeps...oh yes Chris, Stan's recommendation for the zoo is spot  on. It's a great zoo, and there are a couple of large amazon parrots that roam free, they are really cheeky and you can get really close up to them for photo's, Grace will love them!

those purses are lovely Maggie, particularly the one with the wee birdy on.
