Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

Great trousers Maggie - I could do with some myself. Did you use a pattern?

Not sewing, but whilst I have been hospital visiting I've made this little fella

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

here is my effort from the weekend

P1016009.JPG  I decorated an old wooden box to make a memory box for my mum, and I put all the bits and pieces around an old vase for some silk flowers for her, it is her birthday soon and I thought she might like it,  just got to put some felt on the bottom of the box.

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

Oh and I made about 15 cards, too many to show.

Love the trousers Maggie, as my grandmother used to say,' you wouldn't miss you on a dark night'

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

The trouble is once you start doing this you can't stop, that was my OH box and he kept fishing stuff in it, so I pinched it, the vase was a friends so I wormed it out of her, she didn't want it anyway, I have now found various other things to cover and trim.  Another friend has an old cutlery box she doesn't want so I am going to see what I can do with that, it needs sanding and glueing before I start, but that should keep me quiet for a while anyway.

Todays make. It has little slits in the sides but you can't see them in the photo. I have decided that I prefer quilting to dressmaking!
