He has three a day so on the last day he takes two and has the last one the next day or he feels pretty rough. Hope you feel better in a couple of days, and just look after yourself, you don't want to be ill over Christmas!!
Yes all finished CG , I had 6 every morning thats the regular dose plus anti's when i have a chest infection & just stop only have to come down slowly if on them for more than 7 days .

Sorry that some peeps have sore arms from having injections of one form or another. The practice nurse at our doctor's does the injections and she only uses baby needles and she's so gentle.
Oooooooohh CB's made some more mince pies. Yummy.

Holds plate out and hopes that CB will be generous.

It didn't hurt going in books, you can't even see where it did, it's what they put in there I think. Even that side of my neck was a bit sore and stiff earlier!

I've found that when I've had my flu jab CG. It doesn't hurt at first but after a while, it does hurt. Sending you some gently hugs.

Well, my strategy has failed.
Had an outpatient appointment today - yes I know it's a nonsense to have an outpatient appointment when I am at least technically a long-term in-patient, but we'll just ignore that.
The consultant is off on his holidays, the registrar is new and doesn't know me, so I thought that I might manage to persuade the registrar into allowing me to return to work on reduced hours in the New Year.
Strategy failed, there was no way he was taking any sort of decision without talking to "the boss". He insisted on giving me a sick note until the end of January.
Tissue viability were pleased with the progress of "the hole".

Glad the 'hole' is hopefully shrinking a bit. You are very naughty trying to trick the consultant like that! lol He had probably been warned about you! Any more happened on the ambulance accident front?

I'm also glad that the hole is improving Stroppy. What annoys me at our GP's surgery is that we have this part time GP who is absolutely hopeless. When I asked for a sick note once, she told me that I should have given more warning. I said well I had given a weeks notice and how much more warning did she need. I also asked could she issue the sick for three months. The answer was no because the GP whose practice it is only did my sick notes for 2 months, she could only do them for 2 months. I could go on as my mum's had problems with this doctor as well. Why can't they make decisions without seeing their boss first?

I got a letter from my GP today telling me I can stop taking my warfarin, the consultant had told them. The same consultant told me the same thing,..................................................... about 6 weeks ago!!
05-12-2013 6:17 PM
Same happens to me to CG , my consultant changes my inhaler & GP adds it to my repeat prescription a month later

When I took my mum for her warfarin blood test last week, I made an appointment to see the main doctor at our practice. The receptionist asked did the appointment have to be with him. She didn't seem surprised when I said 'oh yes'. I don't have any confidence in the part timer but the doctor whose practice it is, is absolutely brilliant. In fact, if we were with our previous GP about 2 years ago, my mum wouldn't be here now.

The consultant knows me too well to agree to me going back to work until "the hole" is fully closed.
I had a meeting with the boss at the Ambulance trust - the local healthwatch organised it. The ambulance trust have accepted responsibility and I have an agreement in writing that they will pay for a replacement wheelchair - they did argue and weren't happy at the cost of the chair, they tried to say that they should only have to pay for a basic manual chair. After I told them in words of one syllable that only a "like for like"replacement would be acceptable, they did reluctantly agree. The order has been placed for the new chair and it is just a case of waiting until it is ready. However I didn't manage to get a written apology from them!
Was chatting to one of the ambulance crews the other day and they said that the driver just was asked to fill in an incident form - no disciplinary action at all!

Not good enough Stroppy. He could have killed you.

So if they'd wriiten off somebody's car they'd be saying they'd only pay for a bicycle?
Aren't they insured, anyway? Or are they keeping insurance out of it?

Stroppy, I think that you deserve more than a new wheelchair and an apology over what happened.

Me too!

Morning all. Everything seems to have quietened down here weather wise. At least it's not as windy.
I'm going out for a meal after with my mum and two of her former work colleagues. We are going to a lovely country pub about three miles away. The pub is more or less in the grounds of Lord Derby's estate and the views are fantastic.
Must go now, Hugs to all that need them.
