Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

Had to defrost the car for the first time this morning, not organised yet didn't have any de icer so had to use my clocking in card to scrape the windscreen, it was minus 1 at 2.30.  Bit of  a shock I can tell you, I went back in for me coat.

Lovely now though 4 degrees and brilliant sunshine, just my sort of day. The house was warm and toasty when I got home.

Off to do some more to my crochet blanket, good excuse to keep my toes warm.

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

Bright and crisp day here which will mean another good frost tonight.

Am back in the pub on friday night to do the annual childen in need party (new landlord can't be arrised) so must get myself organised for that afterwork today , luckily loads of the locals willing to help out and should be fun being back behind the bar.

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

Apparently it was minus two overnight and there was a frost when I got up.  It's beautiful and sunny otherwise.  The back door is open and the smell of woodsmoke from his bonfire is coming in.  I keep taking great lungsful.  Lovely! Smiley Wink

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

Monkey could have a pirate patch too. It would look rather dashing!

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

Afternoon all.  I've just finished knitting a hat for my mum.  I thought that I would have had enough buttons for Grace's cardigan but unfortunately, I was one short so I'll have to have a look in town tomorrow.

We didn't have a frost this morning but we did on Sunday morning.  The de-icer had to come out for the first time this winter.  At the moment, we've got plenty of cloud cover so I don't think we'll have any frost overnight hopefully.

Wonder if Swishy Twishy is back from the craft shop yet.

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

Morning all

I won't say good because it isn't , now I know I live on top of a mountain but who on earth sent me Noah's flood just to test out the theory that I won't drown ???? ............. it has persisted it down all night here and showing no signs of letting up.

The rain and hail kept me awake half the night trying to batter through the windows and its so dark that the office and unit is lit up like Blackpool illuminations.

Just to top it off I have a to  too  t-ach oh you know a pain in the peggy in the mouth area so have got myself into a state already incase it does't disappear and I need the dreaded D word.

Oh well are'nt I the cheery one this morning , right orf to put the kettle on ...........anyone for coffee

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

Love one Stan thanks, just got back with the dogs and it's blowing a hooly here, going to take me an hour to flatten my hair look like I have had a fright..  We had a lot of rain last night but its dry now so its on its way to you ( the dryness I mean).

Sorry to hear about the T ache, hope it gets better soon, nothing worse.

Off to paint a chest of drawers now after coffee. Then I shall be carrying on with my blanket,  day off today, must go get some meat out of the freezer for tea.
