Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

All fireworks should be like that or better still, they should be banned altogether.

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

Some of the clothes bags that are left for charities don't actually go the the charity shops, they go to a firm that buys the clothing by the ton and then give the money to the charities, but it is a small amount.  We don't give to them any more and either wait for a proper charity bag or take them to the shop.  On the bags if you read the small print it will tell you which it is.

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

We have spells were we get about three or four charity bags and the collection day for all of them is always the same day.

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

Morning.

Bright and clear here. Not been out yet, but guessing it's quite chilly.

Going to take all the clothes the charity didn't collect to the recycling today. Will be interesting to see what I get!

Hope everyone is healthy and happy Smiley Happy

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

Sort of nothing weather here, no wind, no fog, no rain, no snow, no sun, no black clouds, no blue sky.  It's just ok. Smiley Indifferent

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

Afternoon all.

Maggie you're not on your own in not liking winter.  I think that's another thing that should be banned.  It's on the cool side here now but we have had a few showers earlier on.  It's cleared up a bit now so I hope that it doesn't get any worse overnight.

Been for a food shop this afternoon.  Bought some things for a certain 2 year old for her tea tomorrow.  We've got to look after her seeing as she invited herself 'cos she knew her nan was coming and she didn't want to miss anything.  Heaven help the make-up drawer.

CB, I'll definitely be shattered when she's gone.  I'll see if she'll let me take some photos.  If she's tired, there'll be no photos unless she's eating then the food will come first.

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

Just wish that someone would tell whoever is letting off the fireworks that it isn't bonfire night tonight.

Just got the sleeves and bands to do on Grace's cardigan.  When it's finished, it will be off to Father Christmas.  Her mum and dad took her to see Father Christmas last year and she was scared stiff bless her.  I think that he's bringing her a bike this year.

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

It's been tipping down here as well but at least the fireworks seem to have stopped now - for good hopefully.

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

Doesn't look like Grace will be coming later with her nan as Grace's mum and dad have taken her to Blackpool for a couple of hours.  I am hoping that they stop off here on their way back home as they have to pass the area where I live to get back to their house.  Fingers crossed.  Grace's  gran might be coming as well tonight if she can make it.  I hope so as I like her a lot.

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

A few days ago, Grace went visit her cousin James who is nearly 11 months old.  Grace wanted James to go home as he was eating her food.  The thing is, James was at home!!  Honestly, the things children say.  Woman LOL

Just off to work and it's cold out there! Car is covered in ice.

Be careful everyone.

BTW the Quick Reply button isn't working for me. Is anyone else having a problem?

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

Morning all.  It's cold here at the moment. There is frost on the roofs around here but the roads look clear.  That doesn't meant to say that there isn't any black ice around.  As Learning says, take care and stay safe.
