This is the cardi that I made for Kay's birthday - sorry I only have a picture of her wearing it. It has a square neck and a side fastening.
I have almost finished the one that I am making for her Xmas pressie - just got a few rows to do on the button band.

Fingers crossed cos im hoping to get my flu jab in the morning , ive not been able to have it yet due to this horrid cough that wont leave me .
I've had a frustrating morning at the Drs Went for my flu jab & to collect my repeat meds at the attached pharmacy only to find an inhaler was missing yet again ..
The chest Consultant had written to my GP to tell them he had changed my inhalers in August .
Receptionist checked on line & comfirmed that they had got the letter !!
So i had to insist they sorted it out & got an appointment with a Dr who apologised & changed it on his computer .... i cant see why its wasnt done in August 
wonder if it will still be there for next month
Afternoon all. I can see where you are coming from over your meds PCC, Two months running I had sort out my mum's warfarin medication. She needs three different strengths but the chemist who sorts out mum's medication had only brought one strength. I then had to go to the doctors to order the other two strengths. Mum's been on wafarin for nearly two years now so you'd think that the doctor's would have it right by now. I know that it's the fault of the doctor because the pharmacy have shown me that at least they've ordered it. If it happens again, I will have a word with the practice manager and then if it happens again, I'll insist on having a word with the doctor.

Talking of doctors....I tried to make an appointment with ours today, the nearest they could give me was Nov 5th, HA!!! so I'm having to go in on Monday and sit in the open surgery from 9.15am until I get seen which will be about 10.30am......not good eh?

Whilst the doctor's appointment isn't great, it sounds about average. I had an appointment last week, for 10:00am. Having been taught that unpunctuality is unforgivable, I made sure that I arrived and signed in by 9:50. It was 11:30 before I finally got in to see the doctor, and then it was a locum who hadn't got a clue. Whilst she was happy to precribe any meds that I asked for (after having to look them up in a reference book), she hadn't got a clue how to work the computer system so that I can order a repeat prescription when I need one. She also hadn't got a clue how to make a referral to sort out my coil.
Since the thrush is no better (didn't expect it to be), I've got to make another appointment. Goodness knows when I'll be able to get an appointment with one of the doctors actually attached to the practice.
The sewing thread is morphing into the medical thread again! There are some lovely makes on here though.
I rang to make an appointment for a blood test for my warfarin today. I rang about twenty to twelve and she said could I come at ten to one! What a rush, change my going out plans, get lunch ready, eat lunch, get washed and changed and left the house at twelve thirty. She had a note on the screen about two of the doctors have been discussing when I should come off warfarin and have written to the surgeon. I was surprised really because it was nothing to do with them in as much as the surgeon put me on it and I've been under the care of the anti-coagulation clinic ever since. I was impressed that they bothered. She did my blood test and then asked if I wanted a flu jab. I said I get one at Tesco because the doctor's surgery has a first come first served couple of Saturdays where you could wait for ages and have nowhere to park etc. She said she could give me one there and then so I did. She then told me a lot of people are having a reaction to it this year with swelling, redness and itching. She thinks it's a new ingredient in it, so if you get it It's ok and you have to put your frozen peas on it. I had mine at 1pm and so far it's fine.
