Chips - Bondaweb is usually used for applique. It irons on in the same way as interfacing.

if you use those stop fray things, they make the edges hard, so you are better to use bondaweb like Stroppy says....make a square of fabric first, then bond the bondaweb onto it. Before you take the paper off ... then...cut out your heart shape, that way you wont get any frayed edges showing. Then take off the paper and iron onto your curtain.

Thanks both, I've just ordered some bondaweb.

Merc I love them dwarves lol
captn Yep my hoof dont suppose you remember but I had an op to cut out an infection last year in June so 14ish months ago.
Well there is some gauze left in my foot and it started to try to work its way out like a little alien through a hole its made for itself in the ball of my foot and yadda yadda yadda..*sobs* dont get me started or I just might have to sob again then rainy will pop in again and tell me how my eyes are all puffy and red.
The pain has worn me out but yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy Tuesday ......roll on I have never looked forward to an operation ever ................. but Boy I cant wait.
I have a vision of being able to walk on the whole of my foot by Wed morning hummmmm okay a little unreasonable but I can dream.
I have a dream, a fantasy
To help me through reality
And my destination makes it worth the while
Pushing through the darkness still another mile
I believe in angels
Something good in everything I see tra la la la la
di di dum di dum di da lala lala

I'm here, just as I was last night. It's just that I'm so small and quiet, no one ever notices me.
Or is it that they just don't like me? Never mind.

Oh biker, jeez in the ball of your foot - must be excrutiating, poor girl. I never in my life knew such pain existed until I got this carpy thing in my feet.
I wish you all the best for your operation and hope it cures the problem once and for all
Angels always help.

we returned from our golf ball collecting sooner tham planned because of a storm as well Stan (managed to find 30 balls first though), luckily we live right next to the park but we were at the far side when it started so by the time I got home I looked like a wet-t.shirt competition entrant, not a pretty sight! Trainers were squelching, hopefully they'll dry out soon 'cos I need them for the gym at 6.00am.

Oh Gina, I wish you lived closer. We are very close to both the 1st hole and also the driving range here and golf balls totter down our street in their dozens when it's busy.
The local kids are very entrepenurial and collect them to sell back to the golfers, lol

Great way for them to earn some pocket money Rainy, we used to do it as kids when we went on holiday to Swansea till we were told there were adders in the bunkers and gorse on the links.................never again for me but my brother kept on collecting and used to sell them to our Dad.

Blimey, some of you seem to have been busy today. Had a fairly quiet day today. We went for a food shop this morning when I got back from my swim. I did a little bit of pottering around but not much. This afternoon, I have got some knitting done. I finished one headband and I've started another one. I'm just going watch Antiques Roadshow shortly. I love antiques programmes.

evening crumbles....
I've been busy in the garden today with OH, we dug out some rubbish at the back of the garden, and planted up three plants. Picked some apples from the tree for a crumble, dragged the washing back in after it got rained on
watched a really good film this afternoon, made the rhubarb and apple crumble and just enjoyed it for my supper
