Morning all. I see that we have a new member amongst us. Morning Robynpeter and welcome. We do tend to get a bit mad on here but if anyone needs help or support, the rest are there in droves which is brilliant.
Woke up to a cloudy morning today and at least the wind seems to have dropped a lot.
Hope that everyone had a good nights sleep last night and hugs to all that need them.

Morning all
Dull and grey here but have stuck the washing out anyway and will just keep my fingers crossed.
Kaysha called last night and although disappointed to not be able to see the baby it sounds like she's having a great holiday, the highlight of which is today when she is going to a dinosaur park (she adores them and knows all the names)

You take it easy you naughty girl! It's scorching here! I am going to sew until the garden gets shady & then carry on staining the garden chairs. Anyone see the Space Station & all the shooting stars last night?

I'm wearing a jumper, & got my heating on
13-08-2013 4:16 PM
Afternoon all. We've had quite a few showers today and it's a lot cooler as the breeze has got up again. We've not had the heating on yet though. When I was coming back from town this morning, the car was telling me that the outside temperature was 14 degrees Celsius so it's a lot cooler than it was last month. Just wish that it was a tad warmer here at the moment.

Still very hot here.

This morning when I was out, I had a lightweight jacket and kagool. It absolutely poured down. At least we've got some sun at the moment but there are still some clouds around. Mum's just been into the greenhouse and it's 30 degrees in there. Our weather is changeable for the rest of the week.

Good evening folks.
Went to the pub at lunchtime to celebrate my birthday. Nothing fancy, but an enjoyable outing.
Called at the new Hobbycraft shop on the way home and was VERY disappointed. Aisles are very narrow, some too narrow for me to get down at all. Loads of extra displays etc. at the ends of the aisles, making it extremely difficult (often impossible) to get past. To make it worse they had a number of tables in the central aisle with tables with activities for the youngsters. Tried to go to the upper floor - very difficult to get to the lift (couldn't have done it without help), a display (pile of boxes) in front of the door making it difficult. Very small lift, no way you could get an adult wheelchair and a carer in. Got to the first floor, and instead of the exit being either backwards, or forwards (as is usual with that type of lift), you had to do a 90 degree left hand turn with no turning space available.
It is rare that Hobbycraft actually have what I want, so I suppose it's no loss, especially as they are expensive).
I am now trying to be inspired about something for tea.
