Merc, don't laugh but they stapled OH's head this time, metal ones n all.  healed very much quicker!!!

I had staples when I had me Varicose Veins done...

I was only allergic to them...it was worse than the op getting them out...both legs hip to ankle 😞

Well, after being hopeful of a quick in and out, it looks like it's going to be another extended stay After another rehearsal for the re-enactment of the texas chain saw massacre, they are debating having another go at the wound in theatre.

Wound is leaking so badly that they are changing the dressings (and the sheets) two hourly.

Mind you they did look a bit shocked when I pointed out exactly how much heparin they are pumping in to me and that this might be a factor in the amount of bleeding.

They haven't threatened the leeches yet.

Are you needing transfusions if you are losing all this blood? I do hope they listen to YOU as you are the one at the sticky end of all this.

I'm sorry you have to go to theatre again, maybe this time they'll appear to know what the problem is and sort it out.

I suggest they name a ward after you....Stroppy Ward....well you seem to spend more time there than at home at the moment. Have you got some decent food lined up?

The staff are currently tucking in to a variety of Chinese - I had take out delivered.

Dummy doc is actually the consultant. I have sent an email to his secretary pointing out that I'm not terribly impressed - bet I have the whole flock of them (3 consultants plus registrars plus all the extras) in here en masse before the afternoon is out.

Had a herd of med students in this morning, they'd been sent to practice taking a history and thought they could just pop in 5 minutes before lectures. They're coming back this afternoon.

Well, I've been moved to the long stay ward - bigger room and a better mobile signal. A lovely big window that actually opens. No way of sneaking off the ward un-noticed though, I'm right opposite the nurses desk and matron's office.
