Does anyone keep in touch with any old school friends or go to any reunions. I have a few friends of old days and have been reminiscing about my school times. When your there its the worst time. I never really liked school but your friends get you through. But now i have left i always think back to those years as being quite happy and carefree!!!. When i meet people some look just the same, some very different. some have children at the same school now. They seem so different the pupils of today. We dressed differently and were not allowed any make up, or even allowed to colour our hair ( which i personally got brought up sharp about). fashions and music change with the years but sometimes come round again. I was so fashion conscious then, everything had to be perfect ha ha. I remember standing on the step in our kitchen to look in the cabinet mirror before i went out the door!!. it was just those days we were like that. Happy days really!!.

I keep in touch with many old school friends via Facebook. In fact three years ago one of my school friends got married so there were quite a few school friends attending. It was lovely to catch up on what had happened over the years. My son is 15 but many of my friends are now grandparents!

Remember - it takes 17 muscles to smile and 44 muscles to frown - SO KEEP SMILING 🙂

I keep in touch with one friend from school, who has moved away, by email phone and in person, I also work with two girls! I went to school with but apart from that no, it was a long time ago.

I have been to one reunion, which was surprisingly lovely - it was to mark 20 years since leaving school, & some of our teachers were there too. As you say Rose, we were more support to each other than we had ever known at the time!!

That was years ago now, & noone has arranged one since, to my knowledge, although we did say we'd have another at 40 years (now approaching 😕 )

I have kept in touch with my 2 closest friends from school - neither of whom have children, whereas I have 4. Our lives have taken different paths, so there wasn't as much connection for many years as there is now, & of course the Web makes connection easier these days 🙂

I'm going to the the theatre with one of these schoolfriends on Thursday, in fact!! 🙂

Nooooooooo. I didn't much like the people I went to school with and don't think time will have improved it much.

I was working in a management role some years ago and they got a temp in to do some filing and photocopying. It was my old grammar school geography master, it was really awkward.

No old school friends. I moved schools as a teen & found it hard to make friends. Just very glad to leave at 15.

I sometimes see a girl who was in the same year as me at school. I'd seen her a few times before I realised who she was. I'm not blowing my trumpet here but she looked as though she was about 70 and we are both 55. I thought she'd left secondary school before I'd started there. I nearly fell over when she said that she was in the same year as me. I've seen a couple of other girls from school but not for a while.

I have been in touch with a couple of old school friends via the internet, but we do not have enough in common any more to stay in close contact. One friend however I stay in contact with via e mail as she emigrated years ago, we always have something to chat about as we seem to have almost followed parallell paths through life. She has recently been very ill and I wish I could visit and help her out but that's the impossible dream.

I'm in touch with one school friend via email. It's only the last 12 years that we've been in touch after leaving school 50 years ago. We are both grandmas to four grandchildren. I expect all our teachers are dead.

Yes everyone had differing experiences you see. I did and still do find it hard to make friends but in school i suppose you have to dont you in some ways... Mind you like wise im not being a showoff but some people i have seen look a lot older than myself and i cannot believe they were in the same year. LOL,LOL. I know of a few who had bad problems with mental health ect and some who are not here any more which saddens me. thats life as they say.

The school friends are the only friend who is real ones and they really care about you. You can move out in life, but don't forget your old friends from school time. Most of the students like you hate their school, but they like https://graduateway.com/essay-examples/william-faulkner/ a lot even in the university days. I met with my old friend who is with me in my school time and I am really sure they are the only real friends I have.
