my favourite neighbour passed away yesterday in the local hospice, he was 82 but I would have liked more years with him as we had only known him for 3, he was great.

I felt like that with a friend of my mum's CB.  I only knew her for the last 14 months of her life and I'm sorry that I hadn't known her for longer.

Mam was 96 but so with it and full of tales , will miss her greatly

Afternoon all. It's a lot cooler here today and it's very windy.  This time last week, it was scorching hot.

It wasn't in the lighthouse but in the café next to the lighthouse. The sea was wonderful to watch too. Huge rolling waves crashing onto the rocks.:) Sandwich lived up to expectations.:)

Evening all.  

Hopes that Mercles went on alright at the hospital.  

We had a spot of good news when we came back from lunch today.  The little horror that lived nextdoor to us has moved out - thankfully.  The new neighbours haven't moved in yet but they can't be any worse than what's just moved out.  Hopefully, we won't have the bang, hammer drill routine up to 11pm nearly every night.  Mind you, he did stop when I threatened him with a letter from our solicitor.  It's lovely and quiet here now.

Our new neighbours are moving. The removal van has only just arrived.  I didn't think that they'd be here until tomorrow at the earliest.

Evening all.  We are supposed to be going on one our trips again tomorrow but it all depends on how my broken toe is.  It's feeling a bit better.  We are going to Haverthwaite in the Lake District.  When we get there, we will have a little trip on a steam train to Lakeside on Windermere.  We will then have a trip on a boat to Bowness.  We then have a two or three hours to ourselves so we can have some lunch and a mooch.

crikey!!! how did you break your toe then Chris? ouch!! hope you do go on your outing and enjoy.

I didn't even realise Mercles was at the hozzy too oh shame on me, how did it go then Merc? hope everything went OK.

I caught the little toe on my right foot on our fireplace which just happens to be marble.  I just said oh heck - I daren't say on here what I actually said.  That happened a week last Sunday.  It seems to be worse in a morning but I'm hoping that it will be better in the morning or we won't be going for our day out.  I went to the walk in centre this morning to get it checked out and I was told that it could take a total of six weeks to get better.  If it was a soft tissue injury, it would only take four weeks to recover.  It could only happen to me couldn't it?

I didn't know that Merc was in hospital either.  I hope that she's alright.

I'm not in hospital me darlins...I was just there for a scan to see if I had a brain

Thank heavens for that Mercles.  

Needless to say, we missed our day out due to me being somewhat accident prone.  Funnily enough, the said toe feels worse in a morning than at any other time during the day.
