As well as my winter duvet, I've got woolly blankets on the bed and I've been as snug as a bug in a rug come bedtime.

Morning all. For once, it looks like we don't have any frost whatsoever for which I am eternally grateful.

Morning...still very cold...I don't go out - too hard to breathe.
More snow on it's way - still, really can't complain - Spring is on it's way

Afternoon all. It's on the cool side here but I've managed to get a little bit tidying up done in the front gardening. I was only out about 20 minutes and my hands were freezing so I came in. Still, the garden looks a little bit tidier but there's an awful lot to do. We've got a lot of bulbs coming up. Nearly all of the crocuses seem to be either lemon or a gold colour.

Hi all, thought I would drop in and say hello. 🙂 Things are calming down a little now. Millie is settling in. Still hates the cat, oh well. Just keep them apart and we are okay. Sun is shining here today and I even started doing a bit of spring cleaning, Ick. LOL Hope you all are doing well. xxxx

Lovely to see you Pat. How are the hoggies?
06-02-2015 3:54 PM
Afternoon all. It's nice to see you back Pat. Hope that the hoggies are doing well.
It's been bitterly cold here today. When I went out this morning, the car was telling me that it was minus 3 degrees even though it felt colder. It has been sunny all day long though.
Hope that everyone stays safe.

Thanks Patch and Books. 🙂 The hoggys are doing well. We brought one in the other night that was wandering about the garden. He should be hibernating, but was awake. Not sure what woke him. It could be someone has disturbed his nest or he got cold or wet. Anyway he is upstairs in the hog room with 5 star treatment and in the warm. He has put back on alot of the weight he lost alreadly. 🙂 The other four keep waking up and then going back to sleep again. LOL
Chilly here too, but have had lovely sunshine all day for a nice change. 🙂

Good afternoon, everyone. Pat, you got hedgehogs? I know a lady who runs a "hogspital" in Pembrokeshire. I interviewed her and until then I had no idea how different they are from expectations.

Hi Mouse, I look after wild hoggies here, mainly raise babies in the summer, but also a few adults here and there that aren't in too bad a shape. Those are sent to the local vets or the Wildlife hospital. I also have an African Pygmy hedgehog too as a pet, but don't recommend them as pets. They take a bit of research and special stuff to look after them. At the moment I am trying to keep the wild ones in hibernation, but I can't let the APH hibernate as it would kill him. So he has heat pads to keep him awake. There are a few of us carers and rescues around the country. 🙂

Gosh Pat...how lovely to see you
Who's Millie?
& dare I ask about Roxie
06-02-2015 8:56 PM
Hi Merc, Thanks. This is one of the reasons I have beem a bit awol. I lost my dear Roxie and sort of went into a meltdown. I missed her so much and not having a dog, that I rescued Millie after she had only been in kennels for two days. So both her and I went through a month of grieving together. She is our new dog and not a Roxie replacement as no dog could do that. She is totally different. A jack russel and Staffie cross. She is only 3 years old. Well behaved on walks, but a monster at home. She hates cats!!!! So we have had to keep her and Jingles apart. He lives upstairs now and she stays down stairs during the day. And at night is on the lead in bed so Jingles can have a break.
She is very athletic and keeps Brian fit on their walks.I can't keep up with them. They walk anywhere from 2 to 3 miles a day!!! And a ball play along the way too!!! Then she comes home has a nap and then ready to go again!!! She is very clever and once the weather warms we will be trying her with some agility jumps, slolum poles and a tunnel. LOL She is pretty much a daddy's girl, though I do get a cuddle too. I am the one with the food. LOL

Awww Millie's lovely Pat. It's so upsetting when you lose a dearly beloved pet. Our last dog went to Rainbow Bridge over 30 years ago now and I still think of him often.

I agree Books. Roxie was a really special little friend who I miss with all my heart. I would give anything to have her back. The cancer was a quick one and she went down hill really quickly. I so miss her little smiling face.

Morning all. At least it's a bit warmer here this morning which can't be bad.
