We'll be going to bed soon as my mum didn't have a good sleep last night. Also, we have to be up early in the morning. I'll be back tomorrow though.

And I'll bring my goggles as well.
We've now got a garage again. I know that they came half an hour earlier than we expected but it only took them about four hours to put the new garage up. I forgot that I was supposed to be meeting my dad at lunchtime. It was only when he called around to see where I was that I remembered. We then went for an hour at the pub. When I got back, mother decided that she would start putting things into the garage. Honestly, there are times when I wonder where her common sense has vanished to. At least she didn't lift anything too heavy.

Glad it is all done Books, just don't fill it with rubbish!!!!!!!!
Friend of ours are trying to persuade my OH to go to the Maldives with them in a couple of years time, me I don't need any persuading.
23-06-2014 4:03 PM
I know what you mean Ed. A lot of stuff when into the skip that the garage people ordered on Friday and we've taken a lot more rubbish to the tip. There's still some more stuff to go but we think that we'll ask the council to come and take that.
In your position Ed, I don't think that I would need much persuading to go to the Maldives either.

Not had a holiday for 20 years, Chris; O/H doesn't like them!
23-06-2014 4:13 PM
We only ever go for long weekends camping out of season, and we haven't been on one of them for about 10 years My OH doesn't do foreign holidays, 'full of foreigners' too hot, too smelly, too dirty, need I go on..................................I would be gone tomorrow if I had half a chance. Never mind my friend and I will be booking up for a trip to go and see Mrs Browns Boys live, somewhere, anywhere, stay the night then come home again.

I'd love a holiday but due to my mum's health, it hasn't been possible for about four years now. We had three holidays booked two years ago but we had to cancel all three. We are going to try and have a few days away at the end of August but again, it all depends on how my mum is.

I'm a home bird too. Haven't been away even for a night (except hospital) for 27 years. Hubby's not fussed either. Never been abroad. I agree with (whoevers it was) hubby. Too hot and too much hassle.
23-06-2014 7:30 PM
We've not been abroad for about seven years. If I'm being honest, I don't like airports anymore. If we do go away, it's in this country now and on a coach holiday so I don't have to do the driving.
