"I've been asked to come up with a few game ideas for our school BBQ in June. The theme is beach / summer holiday.  Can you ask some of your friends on the groups for ideas?" 

Any ideas? The can't afford a lot of outlay. It's an evening BBQ so only a few hours.

Pirate inspired treasure hunt?  Maybe get a whole load of shells and hide them around the place for kids to find and chocolate coins/treasure?

At our school fair for the littlies who can't read we do a treasure hunt by laminating a set of pictures and attaching them around the area and the littlies get a sheet with the pictures on it and they tick them of as they find them. when they bring back a completed sheet they get a mini pack of haribo or the like.

We have said before that we would ask where the pictures were when they handed the sheet in, some of the wee ones go with grown ups and they make them do it properly!
