Report an item

I tried to report an item to Ebay, but unfortunately the report system isn't working for me. Can anyone else report an item??? This person is selling African Pygmy Hedgehogs and animals are banned from being sold. 😞

Re: Report an item

Where do I send the email? Thanks for trying. A bit of a worry if the reporting system is down though. 😞

Re: Report an item

Goodness knows, I have been round in circles, and back to report item which is still not working, it seems everthing has to be done on a form not an ordinary email. Will keep looking how frustrating is this.

Re: Report an item

Reported via .com (that should confuse CS).

Also used the "tell us what you think" link at the bottom of the "report an item" page on .co.uk to tell ebay that their system isn't working.

If everybody else does the same something might get done eventually (don't hold your breath...).

Re: Report an item

Thanks. I did a post on the selling comminty board, but no replies at all. 😞 I do understand it is a Sunday evening and all, but I would think they would want to know if dodgy listings are on. i did eventually find where it states no animals to be sold on the selling guidelines.

Re: Report an item

Sorry I can't help but I hope it makes more difference than when I have reported items.

Breaches of copyright (photocopies patterns and charts from books) and wild collected orchids.

Reported several times and nothing has been done.Smiley Sad

Lets face it ebay don't care, they make money from these items.

You actually posted in the "Selling on Ebay" section of the "Answer Centre" - which is part of the ebay "community" and the questions are answered by ordinary ebay members volunteering, not by ebay employees.

Just as a matter of curiosity - what made you think you were notifying ebay?

I ask because the regulars who answer the questions there have been very upset since the new boards came in, because people keep on and on posting as if they were talking to ebay employees, or directly to sellers, putting their names and addresses and even credit card details on - clearly not realising they were posting in a public forum.

Read this sometime:  http://community.ebay.co.uk/t5/eBay-UK-Community/What-do-you-say-needs-to-be-changed-Update/td-p/180... (you will need popcorn...)

Re: Report an item

Pat, I just a few minutes ago emailed Alan using his direct email address so hopefully that will have put the wheels in motion and something will be done about the listing tomorrow.

Re: Report an item

Thanks Corgi. I really appreciate that.

Duck I thought that was where the pinks kept an eye on things. Guess I was wrong. 😞 I think we will get a result I have also contacted some hedgehog friends of mine. This is a definate breach of the rules and as such should be removed and the person told that they can't sell animals on ebay.

Re: Report an item

Pat...........I have emailed Alan and put in the heading URGENT LIVE ANIMAL BEING SOLD - have given him the item number and informed him that the report button is not working.

If as many of us as possible also email Alan that would alert him in droves that this is illegal. I will be keeping a watch on the item to make sure it is removed tomorrow.
