Just taken delivery of my first ever online grocery shopping; found it a bit daunting when I ordered it, but I know the procedure now. Really pleased with it all. Think its the way to shop in future as we don't have a car, saves carrying the shopping to the bus station, also cheaper than a taxi and saves a lot of time. Not sure OH is as keen on the idea as me though. Will be good in winter too, shop from the comfort of home

I love online grocery shopping. I've only stepped inside the supermarket once since before last Christmas, and that was only for a mooch at the clothes and housewares etc.
I'm just thinking of doing one tonight for tomorrow actually. Once you know your way around the website and have all your favourite items in there to remind you, you can do it while you watch TV or chat on here or anything.
I shop online for everything these days.

I would like to get MIL into online grocery shopping but she wont go along with it even if we do it & have it sent to her 😞

Yes, I slipped up with that one, CB I opted for no substitutions and there were a couple of items that weren't in stock. Thanks for the tip about what substitutions to ask for.

Used to do it all the time but now rarely seem to know from one day to next whether I'll be in or not. Did find getting in a rut was very easy.
Loved the substitutions. Amusing mistakes, annoying mistakes and glorious bargains were about eaqual.
Need to know your supplier and their quirks to get the best out of it though
Daughter who has just cracked a bone in her foot will be round tomorrow to order hers for lateish(after the money has gone in) Thursday. There is no way she'll make it round the big Asda or tesco. OH suggested one of those motorised shoppers - NOOOOOooooooooooooooooo!

Im waiting for some to be delivered today. It takes time sitting ordering it but at least i do not have to carry it as i do not drive and am fed up of hauling bags up the road exhausting myself lol. There is quite a choice although you have to watch delivery charges and try and get a day when its cheaper and at a cheaper time as they do vary. Middle of the week is best i find.

I must be a dinosaur
I have NEVER tried online shopping

Must admit that I don't fancy doing an online shop. Besides if I tried, my mum would give me more earache than I get already. If I did do an online shop, I certainly wouldn't use ***co either as for one thing, they are too dear and for another thing, I can't stand the staff at our local one. They think that they own the whole town let alone the shop.

I've made no secret of my views on .... T***o
They are very likely going to be the ruin of our town

ooops, that's who I work for
CG, seeing you do so many .com shops have you seen the new delivery charge that you pay monthly and you can have as many deliveries as you like? would be good for you I think.
I would do .com shops well I have had them, but I would always want to pick my own fresh veg and meat.

I know CB
........... but I still loves ya

I think I did notice something about it capt. but at the moment I'm in the middle of a 6 month pre payment thingummy. I like the fact that it's only a one hour slot now, and they always email the next day and tell you whether your shop would have been cheaper anywhere else. If it would have been, they refund the difference.

Daughter is waiting for her online delivery to arrive. She cracked a bone in her toe and would have trouble walking round the store. She suggested 2click and collect" I said NOoooooooooooo! The delivery guy loads it all on his trolley, goes up in the lift and delivers to the door - I'd happily pay the delivery charge to avoid that, especially as theree's double yellows all round the blocks!.

unless you are feeding only one person, why would you do anything but online shopping? even then my mother has one every few weeks for all the heavy things
click click click
and your shopping is on your doorstep
instead of battling a million old ladies with a hovis in their trolley and a battalion of screaming children
fruit and veg & eggs we buy locally
i didnt know tesco were price matching
going through mysupermarket my shopping is coming out around £28 - £35 cheaper at asda just now (and i could buy Peru for the difference between asda & wiatrose)
