Received my online grocery order at 4p.m. from Te*co, only to find one whole crate of items was missing (necessary items like fresh veg, milk etc) I was told by the driver that they would be sent out this evening to arrive by 8p.m. I'm still waiting! Of course it has all been blamed on "the busy-ness" Not very good really. Hope it arrives soon! I'm sure Te*co have been doing Xmas deliveries long enough to know how to organise them properly.

I only had one reason to email Tesco about an order (and then they RANG me back to talk about it, I HATE talking on the phone)
I'd ordered a small joint (there's only me eats it) and it said it would cost about £6. When it came it was an enormous piece costing £17. I emailed saying how it was a bit naughty as someone on a tight budget maybe couldn't afford for that to come out of their bank right at that time (could even incur an overdraft in extreme cases). I said that up to £10 would have perhaps been acceptable but £17.00 was pushing it a bit. When they rang me I explained this again and he said, so £10 would be acceptable then? I said yes, not realising what he was getting at, so he said I could have it for £10 then. I was happy!

I had the same with a £14 leg of lamb from Asda. I only wanted a small joint so they refunded me the £14 & said to keep the lamb. We are having it over Christmas. Thank you Asda.

Years back I ordered a small joint, enormous one came as a sub but, as they do, they only charged for the original(was fixed priced not priced per kilo). Was a godsend because I cooked it Xmas eve for cold cuts, went down with flu Xmas day and OH and son lived off turkey sandwiches for a week!. Some things are meant to be.

Love the subs, now that you don't pay anymore than the price of what you ordered, sometimes you get posh stuff at a much cheaper prices and if you don't want a sub you can always say so. I ordered an ordinary chocolate log and got a finest one instead mmm yummy, I wouldn't have paid £3.00 for it but £1.00 will do thank you very much.

They wern't so busy last week, because it was too early for the fresh orders, and everyone was waiting for this week, thats why they had cheap delivery slots, well they did here anyway.

I was in today at 5am. some of the girls were in at 4am. We had 170 shops to pick and only 8 of us!!!! we got a little bit of help but managed to finish them all by 11am.
You can guarantee every .com picker is suffering at this moment with a bad back. Those trolleys weigh a ton when they've got up to 6 peoples shopping in them!!!
In all the years I've been doing .com and this is my 11th Christmas on there, I can count on one hand the amount of times someone has thanked us for doing their shops, so it makes a nice change to hear you all congratulating us!
We always put in a better item on a sub. And do remember to tell us what you want if your item isn't available, we aren't physcic!!
A very Merry Christmas to you and I hope you have all the goodies you ordered. xx

Thanks, Rose. They came good in the end though. Still my favourite of the .com supermarkets. Well done CB and everyone else involved in getting our orders to us. xx

CB all you guys and gals are fantastic, I did the job for 2 years and had to move departments because of my back (something I already had) How you can do it for 11 years I will never know. You are a star.

I had my last shop delivered earlier by a lovely guy while it was pouring down and blowing a hoolie outside. A few minor subs and a massive pack of profiteroles as replacement for the little pack I'd ordered I cannot tell you how grateful I am to the dot com pickers, packers and drivers for saving me from having to go to the store myself. Worth their weight in gold to save me from that job, good on you all

Well, Asda just delivered. Most subs sent back. Let's face it Tartare sauce is not a sub for horseradish and ordered the Lazy Garlic which is in a little jar in white wine vinegar and received a nice jar of very expensive white wine vinegar - sorry but......................
Apart from that I have a hall covered with bags of food and didn't go out to buy it in this weather - Whooppeeeeee. I am very grateful. Xmas is on - I think.
