Nellie needs your help

Can I ask you all for your prayers and good wishes for Nellie. She is having a diabetic trauma and only has a 50/50 chance of making it through.She's not yet 8 years old - I think my heart is breaking, she is such a beautiful girl

Aww, I'm so sorry to hear that, Jilly. Always heartbreaking when we lose our dogs. Alot on here can sympathise with you. Thinking of you and sending you a hug at this very sad time.  ((((((Hugs))))))

Thank you all for your kind words I’m still a bit shell shocked. Tuesday she was running round the woods with my son’s pup. Thursday she started drinking a bit more water & I wondered if she maybe had cystitis so I kept an eye on her. That night she started to vomit back some of the water , so first thing Friday I rang the vet & was given an appointment for 10.o’clock. I took a pee sample in with us & this showed glucose in her urine. They wanted to keep her in to make sure she was hydrated & take blood tests & do a scan. They rang me at 5.o ‘clock to say that Nellie wasn’t responding to treatment and they thought that she might have a pancreatic tumour, and the outlook wasn’t good. The rest as they say is history. Nellie passed away at 12.30am Saturday. I really can’t get my head around it yet. We are all totally heartbroken. Thank you all once again

I know you'll hate me for asking this but did you ask for conformation of the diagnosis , I only ask as this may help you come to terms with what has happened in the knowledge that it wasn't anything anyone could have done, if not do you want me to give you details on the subject if & only if it will help you?
