Ladies (and you lovely gentlemen who responded to my previous thread) just a quick update.
I met my date today for the first time and we hit it off immediately with soooooooo much in common - likes and dislikes. He is a true gentleman - opening the door, pulling out the chair etc....I had forgotten what chivalry really was. We met in a public place and spent five hours together....the conversation was never at any time stilted....mind you as I could talk for England that was never going to be a problem. Unlike my ex who had no money and would only ever do things that involved the children (not that I have a problem with that cause I have my own son) we never did anything as just a couple. This new chap has no children has had his own business and as he said, if he lost his job today he would be OK for the rest of his life but is happy working until he is 60 when he will retire and enjoy life to the full. He has even suggested, for the future, trips to London, out on his boat etc. Now, I am not out to meet a millionaire but to find somebody who loves to please is a real joy. I dont have masses in the bank but plenty of love to give back at him, so this could well be a match made in heaven. The only time I went away without the kids with the ex was because I paid for it. After the carp few years of being without a job and being treated like a skivvy for the ex I feel that 2014 is MY year. New job and a new man...what more could a girl wish for. Our first meeting wasnt full of the sparks you get in a teenage relationship but a real feeling of mutual trust and companionship.
Whilst we were in the pub a young girl came over to us and asked if we were on our first date when I said we were she said that she and the chap she was with were also on their first date and they had used the same dating site as us......how spooky is that. We had a lovely conversation with the pair of them which made me feel sooooooooooo good.
Sorry about the long story but just wanted to update all my FHG friends.
HERE ENDETH THE LESSON LOL

Awww, bless & hugs. The same thing happened to me. I met a lovely shy girl exactly one week before Valentine's Day. We celebrate thirty-five wonderful years tomorrow, so the computer stays off for a full twenty-four hours tomorrow.

Congratulations for tomorrow Frederick. My parents married on 17th March but in 1956. Also, my Goddaughter was christened on March 17th 1991.

My late mother would have approved - she was Irish. (Somebody has to be!)

Well done, Tintin. Enjoy.
Sometimes I wouldn't mind ditching the kids but hey he they invite themselves. Last year was son's graduation, daughter insisted on coming to it, so a quick couple of night's B&B turned into a family caravam holiday. Both kids want a repeat this year - they are 21 & 23.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Much though I love them(and Sproglet) - AAAARRRGHHHHHHH!
