Well I for one will not be bidding on anything because on holiday then. The last few MDCC to be honest have hardly seemed worth the time you ladies put in making the items.

I remember when most of the items went with quite a few bids on each, now it seems only a few sell with hardly any bids. Could it be nearing the time to devise another means of raising money for the charities other than one auction monthly for different charities ?

Any ideas are always welcome. I need to raise funds for Days for Girls materials otherwise I could no longer make for them. At the moment MDCC is how I manage to continue.

One of the first things I would suggest is ! all the people that are going to list items get their heads together say two weeks before hand and tell each other what they were thinking about listing. That way there would not be too many similar items for different charities. I.E. one MDCC there was I think 8 to 10 listings for homemade cards for three different charities, now out of say 35 listings 8 to 10 similar is not going to generate a lot of interest for each charity.

Fair point DC but that is what we do, our signature if you like. It is difficult to think of other things, most months I ask for suggestions.
