In order to make me actually sit down and do something constructive this winter I am going to make my own Christmas cards, however I am looking for blank cards that have holes in the front oval, circular or square, I have looked on ebay but I dont know what they are called so I end up looking at all sorts of things but what I want,
Any help would be appreciated.

i searched "blank oval window cards" and it gave a few, i searched "blank oval frame cards" and it gave some more, so there must be a proper name for them.Stoppy is your woman here, i know she makes cards

Try a website called Craft Creations. I used to get mine from them when I made cards many years ago.

Cough cough!

thanks ladies I tried all sorts and only got a handful come up so I thought there must be a special name for them, card making is not my bag, I normally draw, so I am starting from scratch, spent a fortune already, I know it would be cheaper to buy cards but then what would I do.
I will see what Stroppy has to say later meanwhile the search goes on, I will try that website as well thanks

Glad that you have found what you are looking for.
If you have a branch of Hobbycraft close they have quite a reaqsonable range and often have a special offer on. The Range also usually have a range of aperture cards.
Wilko may well have a mixed pack of aperture cards, but our branch have drasticly reduced the range of card-making things that they sell.
If you have a branch of "The Works" it is well worth a look in there, and Rymans sometimes have packs of aperture cards, but again our local Rymans have reduced the range of card-making stuff.
If you are at all good with a scalpel or craft knife you can just buy A4 card and make your own aperture cards.
When you make your cards, whatever you do, DON'T try to seal the flap on the cards with any sort of glue - what you need is a good brand of high-tac double sided tape.
If there is anything that I can help with please don't hesitate to contact me.

Thanks Stroppy, We don't have any of those store in our town we have a Wilkinsons, is that the same as Wilco's, as I said I don't get into town much, there isn't anthing much there, unless you want your haircut, whilst drinking coffee and buying from a charity shop.

Wilkinson's is indeed the same as Wilco. If you are struggling to find what you need just let me know as I can probably get what you need and post it to you.
A google search for "aperture card blank" you should find lots of online craft shops.
You will sometimes find that the pound shops have useful materials, and sometimes the bargain places like B&M or Home Bargains have useful stuff.

I think I am getting a good base, I have got sharp scissors, a craft knife, card, a few toppers, ribbon, glitter, double sided tape, glue both runny and tacky (P. Stick) and sticky pads. patterened paper, mostly freebies from magazines and from the supermarket, I always keep my christmas cards that we get and use pinking shears to make tags for the following year.
Any must haves that I must have,
