Has anyone got any lovely flowers in their garden?
Here's what greeted me when I went outside this morning
It's beautiful, huge, the first one this year. It wasn't there yesterday when I was gardening
next to the poppies.

T have heard the gnomes often help people out and deliver little flowers just so you can post it on ebay

Wow, what beautiful flowers you all have.
I love all flowers but I think my favourites are poppies, lavender and dicentra.
Those aqualeiga take some beating too, for a display of wonderful colours. I learnt
yesterday that some people call those "grannys' bonnets".

Well last week the Choisya burst into full bloom but the wind is in the wrong direction and next door are getting the wonderful smell. Hard to believe that in normal years it is a mid April to mid may flowerer!. On the opposite side the roses are having their best year ever with the early yellow one overloaded with buds and flowers the first of which peeped out yesterday morning.
This year the flowers seem to suddenly appear, from nothing to full bloom overnight.
May get some pics later if I can but camera is in the car and the car is around somewhere (after OH moved all vehicles at 6am) and I am waiting in on an expected delivery(well I was expecting it at 8am but obviously the driver is on his hols) so cannot go looking!

This was my clematis last week but the wind has blown a lot of the flowers off now.
I'm more proud of something else in my garden though. Will post more pics.

New veg plot in May.
Haven't grown veggies for many years so really chuffed.
Tried to post two photos on one post but I couldn't get it to do it and it's so slow!!
I'm obviously doing something wrong.
The other thing is if you see me posting on FHG again today please throw me off. I'm supposed to be writing a book with a deadline and I keep getting sidetracked!!

Beautiful clematis mumsie. There was a woman (somewhere in Witham, essex) has finally grown a Wisteria all round her garden, 250ft of it and it's flowered after waiting 6 years!! 😮
