Looking for a new author - recommendation

Good morning one and all.

By sheer fluke I picked up a book at the library by an author I had never read before - WENDY HOLDEN - love her books - can anybody out there recommend another author who is similar in their style of writing to Wendy Holden?

Normally I read "sagas" - ie Lynda Page, Maureen Lee, Josephine Cox et al and appear to have read most authors in this genre

Obviously recommendations are always gratefully received.

Thanks

Anybody mentioned Alexander McCall Smith yet?    He did the No 1 Ladies Detective Agency, but he's also done the Scotland St series which I like better 🙂 & the Sunday Philosophy Club series.   I've just started on the  Corduroy Mansions series & so far, so good.

He's not a page-turner in the strict meaning of the word but all his books are beautifully written & once you understand that nothing much happens compared to the usual blockbuster type, then they are usually a nice, gentle read. Good to have a dictionary handy at times though!
