Oh hello, sorry about this but oh dear there are days when things go awry & today is one for me
We have 2 new little rescue dogs
My son is in a play, & we hosted one of his fellow thesps for the week. He kindly gave us chocs & flowers as a thank you & the 2 tiny terrors (little terriers) ate the chocs whilst we were waving off the lads. Unwrapped each & every one (those tiny Swiss bars) in moments
OH has phoned vet & they are there now - been injected with emetic
That's not my panic - my panic is a ladies one; I have blood in my wee & oh blimey I've got tummy ache. I'll get to a GPs tomorrow; I'm drinking as much water as I can. It came on today - I had thought I'd got thrush so treated myself for that on Friday, but oh dear .. ..
Has anyone had this? I've had cystitis before but I'm panicking because of the blood. It's not all blood, but it's worse each visit to the loo
I've just got in a bit of a jitter, what with the dogs & everything

Wizzi, glad you got it sorted, I take cranberry tablets when I get a bout of it less iritating than the juice, I try not to get anti biotics as I had three lots last year for my nasty infections in my teeth.

Glad you are on the mend, I used to have bouts of cystitis but thankfully haven't had one since the birth of my 2 girls. What I was told to do then was drink plenty of water and hold it for a while so it would neutralise the acidity in the urine and it wouldn't burn so much on the way out., but that advice was a long time ago.
My dogs have nicked the odd choccie over the years with no adverse side effects but one of them once ate a packet of Fox's Glacier Mints. I panicked and hastily checked the ingredients to make sure they did not contain Xylitol (sweetener sometimes found in chewing gum, sweets etc.) which is highly hazardous to dogs, thankfully not. He had the squits for a day or two but was fine otherwise.

Happily, I'm feeling better - thank you all
No longer scared of the loo

Oh, & the dogs had a dose of emetic - unpleasant for them, but the vet was concerned as they are so small & we weren't sure how much each had ingested
They are fine now & it didn't seem to bother them
*little pickles*
Taught us a lesson
