I was scheduled to be home on Friday, but my body had other things planned, or rather my stupid blood did :^O Ended up having to have emergency transfusion, but am full of praise for the Staff at Wrightington for spotting the problem so quickly. 🙂

Thank you all 🙂 Ended up as a bit of an emergency. For months now I have been getting a totally exhausted feeling, shortness of breath, etc. Apparently my HB levels had dropped very low, has had my oxygen levels. My body was slowly shutting down, and the operation sort of brought it all to a head. Was rushed off for a CT Scan, as they thought I had a clot on my lung, but that was all clear, but then they found the problem in my blood. I cannot praise the Staff highly enough, they were so alert and on the ball! Had to have a blood transfusion, and thankfully I have perked up since then. Was rather frightening at the time though!

We just like to get our money's worth eh welshie? I don't think I've ever done anything straightforward, medical wise. :^O
At least you're back home safe and sound and can start the slow road to recovery.
Don't forget your precautions!!! Forget them? That's all they drum into you isn't it, as if you could do those contortions at first anyway!
I was told to do NOTHING for anyone else, to just look after yourself, so you remember to just take it easy!
Good to have you back.:-x

That cake looks delish and I want some now! :^O
Nurse came to see me today, took one look at me and then decided to attack my veins for blood as I look pale apparently!
Daughter has been shopping for me today, so I have nawty choccies and biscuits hidden away now 🙂

I've still got a great big box of Cadbury's chocs that my daughter gave me on the day of my op. They've sat there for 9 weeks now and I know the minute I open them they'll be gone!!! :_|
When my blood test hurt for the first time last week the nurse said they get scar tissue after a while, the vein goes from feeling (to her) like sponge to feeling like cheese. I asked her yesterday what it felt like, she said 'cheese' I said 'It's gonna hurt, isn't it?' When I told her in surprise that it didn't hurt she said it was only cream cheese! :^O

I still have no I.V. line in, so they just draw blood from that - painless and so easy. My veins are terrible, and normally blood tests are a nightmare.

Now my veins see a needle, & they just collapse 😞

Luckily, Merc, I don't have that problem.
