I had a paypal email !!!!!!

I had a "paypal" email this morning, it did make me laugh it said, hello, your account has been frozen please click link below as we need lots of information to verify it is your account (In those words)  Mmm I thought, I bet you do, ah - delete, delete, delete. Not terribly convincing.

I've had a few of those lately.  Deleted all of them.

It just made me laugh when it said we need lots of information, and I thought yes I bet you do.  We have them most weeks but this one was the worst attempt at it I have seen.  I used to forward them on to paypals scam address, but i don't bother now because they just come in from somewhere else.

I even had one last week from Paypal in Germany.  Couldn't understand a word of it.  Needless to say it was deleted.

I suppose some people must fall for them otherwise they wouldn't bother

Im not sure but if you do return to spoof at ebay they can trace back ISP address plus loads of other stuff thats clever, at least we are all on the alert now.

I always send mine to spoof@paypal.co.uk so they can trace it.

I do the same as Maggie although they usually used to send back a reply/confirmation that it was spam  ....... now they don't seem to

They haven't sent me a reply the last 3 times I have sent it.

Surely it would confuse/frustrate the spammers even more if you were to answer their question with rubbish - i.e. non-existant passwords and incorrect bank sort codes - that would have then running around like headless chickens.

I get anything from 2 to 10 of these every week - all on an email address that has never had anything whatsoever to do with paypal. Likewise I get them every few weeks on my works email address - again never had anything to do with paypal.

I also get loads telling me that my apple account has been suspended - fine, I don't have an apple account linked to that email address.
