How far back do you remember in FHG and the community spirit ...

I remember once (not sure who it was for), a lady in here with a very ill little boy (I think) whose only real contact with the outside world was her computer as she had her hands full looking after him.

She was having computer problems and was not sure how much longer she could stay in contact with her friends in here and everyone chipped in what they could afford to buy her a new computer to allow her to continue contact and have the support all her friends in here wanted her to have.

Now in my opinion that was the real community spirit of here that once was and when FHG lived up to its name of Family ! Some lovely, warm, kind, caring and generous people that stepped up when one of the community family needed help.

It was numpty who wore the hat.  She was such a laugh!!  😄

We were talking about our childhoods once and I mentioned I'd never had a teddy in my life, and within a week a beautiful bear, who still sits on my bedroom windowsill, arrived in the post from a very kind anonymous person.

I've been on for years, started in what was then the community board at around the time of the classic Ella Thread, then went to the Nag's Head with the rest of the crew from that thread and ultimately into FHG.

 I certainly remember kitten, numptz & I think mouse ended up with the 'hat' 

 It would take ages in the mornings to read all the pages.

Yep the infamous hat  !         . I remember it well and the picture that was posted.

I only joined in on FHG about 8 years ago and I think it is fair to say that doing so changed my life forever!

I still have Deno and Posh as a souvenir of those times although most, if not all previous FHG Deno Defenders seem to have jumped ship 😞

Yes, Gothic, Royal Velvet, Merlin, Welshtoff I think it was or Welshie, Streety, Numptz just to name a few have gone and many more I cannot remember at the moment but if someone named them I would likely remember some of them.

the hat that was made peter and had to be worn as a bet in a supermarket, it had all sorts of stuff on it.

I remember all of them, oh and Tids, I often wonder how she is doing poor wee lass.

I made Merlin goo for ages, but it made my washer pong a bit so OH buy liquid now. NO amount of telling him it wasnt the goo's fault stops him getting liquid wash when it's on offer.

I miss us all being on here though. I know we are all on FB but it doesn't seem the same on there.....
