How far back do you remember in FHG and the community spirit ...

I remember once (not sure who it was for), a lady in here with a very ill little boy (I think) whose only real contact with the outside world was her computer as she had her hands full looking after him.

She was having computer problems and was not sure how much longer she could stay in contact with her friends in here and everyone chipped in what they could afford to buy her a new computer to allow her to continue contact and have the support all her friends in here wanted her to have.

Now in my opinion that was the real community spirit of here that once was and when FHG lived up to its name of Family ! Some lovely, warm, kind, caring and generous people that stepped up when one of the community family needed help.

When I regularly came here, this was a busy board - there were people that visited at different times, but there was always someone chatting almost 24 hours a day. Great times.

Yep, I'm fine thanks Fluffy, even more so since my retirement 6 years ago. How's the "wing" after your "do"? I hope it healed well and you got sorted. Hope "S" is OK.   See, I remember names.

Am I right in thinking that you did actually meet "Arti" on one occasion?

Yes all good here - well as good as it gets with the current climate. Got really friendly with Arti, but never met her sadly. Thinking about it, the mission that I elaborated on in the op I think it was something that we were doing for Arti.

Shame the boards gone so quiet, it used to be a hive of activity, I’ve often wondered what became of everybody?

Hi Mustava yes we are fine. You have got a brilliant memory. "S" is fine, torrid two years with 4 knee replacements, but all looking good now.

I gather the weather in the UK has been great. We are spending many days indoors here, as it has been too hot for us. July here was the hottest fir 37 years. We do any jobs between 0609 and 0800 hours.
