How far back do you remember in FHG and the community spirit ...

I remember once (not sure who it was for), a lady in here with a very ill little boy (I think) whose only real contact with the outside world was her computer as she had her hands full looking after him.

She was having computer problems and was not sure how much longer she could stay in contact with her friends in here and everyone chipped in what they could afford to buy her a new computer to allow her to continue contact and have the support all her friends in here wanted her to have.

Now in my opinion that was the real community spirit of here that once was and when FHG lived up to its name of Family ! Some lovely, warm, kind, caring and generous people that stepped up when one of the community family needed help.

Real FAMILY.

I don't think any of them plan to return any time soon, so it could be a long wait. Far more likely eBay will close their surplus boards before then or concorde be put back into commercial use.

It's a shame it "fizzled" out on here, I know I found this site very helpful and it was nice to have some banter.  Sadly trolling meant a lot of people just stoIpped posting and then Facebook and Twitter took over.  At the time I was not into Facebook so lost touch with a lot of cyber friends. 

The MDCC posts ended up going on Proboards and that obviously led to a lot less posts on here.

Sadly I can't see the boards ever going back to the way it used to be, but it's just the way it is.  Things evolve and folks move on.

Hi there I was wondering if anyone can remember we used to save pictures in an online album something like photobox [but its not that] so we could post them on here. I am sure i have old pictures saved somewhere but I can't remember the site they were on.

This is my posting id but I used to post in my buying account for a year or so. So whatever my member since says, that's how far back I remember in here. 2004/5 I think?

ahhh yes I remember it well.  How many hours have been spent chewing over the cord in here? How many hours have been spent propping up the bar in the Nagshead breaking up the fights perhaps even stirring them a little ....... not me of course but ......

 And of course how many hours we spent arguing in Q&A a battle of wits it was. How many IDs were started up as others were put to rest by the pinks  I can only assume none of us will ever know the answers to these questions so many questions and not enough answers.

 And then of course there is the question of how much money was raised in here for a various charities over the years I assume this runs into thousands.

They say all good things come to an end,  and it seems this is clearly true

 Though I should imagine very few of you would remember me I was always very quiet one sat in the corner behaving and being a very very good girl!!!

Always lovely to see you on any thread though, you and your Ducati.  I seem to remember saying that you wanted one in pink but alas, they couldn't oblige so you just had to make do.

I always checked MDCC to see if anybody had listed any pink bike streamers... I would have bought them for you; pride of place on your handle bars, yes?
