How far back do you remember in FHG and the community spirit ...

I remember once (not sure who it was for), a lady in here with a very ill little boy (I think) whose only real contact with the outside world was her computer as she had her hands full looking after him.

She was having computer problems and was not sure how much longer she could stay in contact with her friends in here and everyone chipped in what they could afford to buy her a new computer to allow her to continue contact and have the support all her friends in here wanted her to have.

Now in my opinion that was the real community spirit of here that once was and when FHG lived up to its name of Family ! Some lovely, warm, kind, caring and generous people that stepped up when one of the community family needed help.

Admits to not been on here for a while.  My mum's still in hospital due to breaking her left hip very badly in July.  They are talking about moving her into transitional care for a spell.  She's been non-weight bearing for nearly seven weeks but she can now put a little bit of weight on her left foot but only using her toes.  I think that she will be in hospital or some sort of care for another few weeks yet.  The most important thing is that she comes home when she is able to do so.   Anyway, moan over.

Hope that everyone is keeping as well as can be expected.

I have not read through the whole thread but does anyone remember the secret boards ? Think there were a couple .

I often wondered what happened to the taggers , I have a photo bucket account full of tags !

 I remember the secret boards and used to post on them. I just looked through my old favourites but I must have deleted them all when the boards changed. The links to the boards used to be pretty simple and I first found the "secret" boards by changing the number in the link.

Tagging got out of hand, far, far too big and when you got people just posting "lol", "roflmao" & etc followed by a huge tag it ruined the continuity of the threads. Some of them were real works of art though.

I do not remember the secret boards CD but there again they were secret and likely not intended for people like me to be invited into them.

Yes huge GIF etc ! They went to groups off eBay! The secret boards were fun but cannot understand why !

maybe that is why I was never invited to join the secret boards as I am not a fun person and therefore excluded from many events such as those.

In fact to be honest I do not think liked much by many people.

To post on the "secret boards" you didn't need an invitation, if you could find them, you could post on them.

Some were started as a temporary thing for an upcoming event and were supposed to be dropped but they stayed live. Ah, the good old days, good while it lasted.
