Hiya,
I'm looking for some help in preventing getting bitten to death this summer, after already suffering 10 bites last Thurs that required 4 days of anti-histamines to reduce both swelling and pain.
Most of the plug-in varieties I've come across seem very much geared towards travel use. I really don't need that, just something for use against our home-grown varieties of flying, crawling and other biting beasties.
I'm willing to look at a multi-protection solution such as fly-guards / screens for doors / windows plus some sort of plug-in solution as well as a spray-on repellant for when I'm out and about.
I'll also continue to keep a plentiful supply of anti-histamines to hand to cover for the ones that break trhough my 'firewall' 🙂
I'd also welcome other advice re any topical solutions that may be worth keeping to hand for the ones that get through - I've had bad experiences in the past of bites rapidly becoming infected and have narrowly avoided hospitalisation for suspected septicaemia a few years ago from particularly nasty beastie, so this is serious stuff for me...
I'd really welcome advice from other sufferers or medical professionals re things they've found to be effective - am willing to try just about anything!
Thanks
Katz

I used it last year in Spain. We were near the lakes so loads of the critters but I only had a couple of tiny bites. It does work.:-)
