Not a war zone but the end of my little beach where the railway bridge was years ago. This is a better view.
Same place with the tide in.

must be lovely living right onto a beach Maggie
people coming would annoy me though
especially if they left rubbish
i would go out and rake the sand when they were gone

They do leave rubbish...lots of it. I sometimes pile up the bih bits at the top for the bin men to take but it just gets blown about. I would need to walk down with a bin bag! Ther is a chap ho lives next to the beach that sometimes clears it but once the holidays start next week it will be like fighting a losing battle.

i dislike rubbish at the best of times
but at a beach is worse as glass etc can get hidden by the sand
i used to moan at kirsty, her pockets were always full of rubbish
but then i figured she wasnt throwing it somewhere, so that made me feel better
i could be the beach police

The beach witch!!! I can imagine people would walk right round in the sea rather than leave footsteps on your bit of sand! You'd probably have the grains of sand in order of size.

That's what I was going to say (you can't see the previous post again and I've got the memory of a goldfish!! Afternoon twishy.)
Kids and rubbish. I always had a handbag full of sweet wrappers and lolly sticks etc from when I was out with my children. They just automatically turned and passed their rubbish to me and I, just as automatically put it in my handbag!

Afternoon CG
I can see the last post or the one I'm replin to below where I'm typing....have to scroll down a bit which is a pain, but it does save the old grey cell a bit
Also had pckets full of rubbish...and special pebbles...and bits of sea weed...and a crab claw.......
Bought them buckets in the end

when you walk along the beach, and all the light sand is at the wall

good on ya Merlin!
rubbish drives me nuts! why people can't take it home is beyond me, they can carry everything that was in that rubbish, so taking it home would be lighter???
If I lived that close to the beach, I'd be the one out with the bin bag, cleaning up. Can't the council put up a "take your litter home" sign?

My kids also put thier sweetie wrapers in my bag or coat pocket
Can just picture merlin sweeping the sand with her beesom
