Hair Dye - Temporary - Anybody Know How To Get It Out?!

Son dyed his hair with temporary dye when they broke up for Christmas.  Loads of his friends

are doing it at the moment.  Thsi stuff was supposed to wash out after six to twelve washes.

It hasn't and he goes back to school tomorrow.

Heck!

He's washed it loads of times with allsorts of different shampoos and it has faded, but it hasn't

come right out and won't by tomorrow.

Any ideas anybody, please?

We went through this with my son with a temporary red colour for Red Nose Day..
Eventually we had to bleach his hair to totally get rid of all the red colour then dye it to as near his own colour as we could find.

I will NEVER believe "temporary" when it comes to hair colour again.

I have used temporary Colours. They are not temporary especially if you have bleached or light colour on hair. They will GRAB on the colour of the hair more and stay longer than they should.

Hair Dye - Temporary - Anybody Know How To Get It Out?!

Fishy

Get 'Colour B4' from B**ts - the same name for a type of footwear 😛

Product description:

Colour B4 hair colour remover is the safest and most effective way to reverse an undesirable hair colour application.

Colour B4 shrinks the artificial dye molecules in the hair, enabling you to simply wash them away. What's more Colour B4 does not touch your natural hair pigment so you are left with the colour which lay beneath your artificial shade.

  • Colour B4 takes you back to your lightest shade.
  • It will return your hair to its natural colour if the artificial hair colour applied is darker than your natural level.
  • If the artificial hair colour applied is lighter than your natural colour, the natural pigment within your hair has been chemically lightened
  • Although Colour B4 will remove the artificial dye, you will still notice your natural hair colour has lightened.

In this situation (and to re-create your natural shade) simply select a hair colorant close to your own natural depth and tone. However, always select by one shade lighter than your (natural) depth to ensure a realistic result.

Colour B4 was formulated to work successfully removing permanent colour in 20 minutes. Therefore this was originally the stated recommended processing time. However, following 12 months consumer feedback, it has been shown that for stubborn colour build up, a longer processing time may be required. They have therefore updated its user instructions to recommend up to 30 minutes for Regular.

The original 20 minute recommendation is still valid and in the vast majority of cases this processing time will be sufficient. The updated instructions simply reflect consumer feedback by confirming that longer processing times can safely be used where appropriate.

I've used Colour B4, and though it wasn't great (it left me ginger - I was trying to remove a couple of months of dark brown from my light brown - well, dishwater blonde, I suppose...- hair) at least it had an impact and didn't dry my hair out: but be aware that the end result might be more dramatic (if that's possible!) than what your lad has now!
