Is it my imagination or is the standard of english being used on these boards failing?
Maybe it is our 'foreign' guests but, please, at least try.
Rant over.

no apostrophe for plurals, they're reserved for contractions or possession.
G'day!
I'm a foreigner, but English is supposed to be my native language, but I daresay mine is a bit different to yours LOL
So, just in case, I originally sort of came from over here (in 1787), I have a friend who lives and works in London and I like the Queen.
*hits spell check*
(My user ID is usually crikey*mate if you check my ID history, so in about 25 days you will probably see me back as that ID, just having a bit of a mid life crisis atm LOLOL)
Our education system is apparently in a pretty bad way too. Heaps of pleas for a return to focusing on the basics.

It's muffins. (= It is muffins.)
The apostrophe means that something is left out. Plurals don't (do not) have anything left out.
The best bit of advice I ever got about apostrophes (from an English teacher) was - when in doubt, leave it out.

What I find most annoying is the glaring error that stares you in the face after you've clicked on 'post ' and the page hangs for a few seconds just to rub it in but you can do nothing about it.
Without the 'edit' facilty some of my posts would look really silly.
