I had a shock tonight. It was our 45th anniversary today which is sapphire. We don't usually do anything apart from get each other a card, but this year he decided we should go for a meal. I wasn't really bothered one way or the other.
Just before we left he gave me a posh little bag and inside was a little wooden varnished box. In the box was a sapphire and diamond necklace on a white gold chain!!
Then the bell rang and it was a car and chaufer, we got in and there was a champagne bucket and we drank champagne on the way to the meal. Our son had arranged the car and champers.
We had a nice meal at a country pub and then the car came back for us at ten oclock. So a very unexpected evening.

Thanks for all your lovely comments folks, they're really nice. He's not been a bad old stick, and although it was all his idea I think son played a big part in arranging things.
Anyway, chicken grandpa has had a very bad stiff neck all day and has been hardly able to move.
I'm sure that chandelier trick last night had absolutely nothing at all to do with it!! 
He was sure he could fly. I think it was those Superman pyjamas that did it!
