Thank you to the idiots who let fireworks off very close to my house last night for about 3 hours! Both my dogs were terrified, one wee'd on the carpet she was so scared and the other is epileptic! I suppose we will be the same as last year and have them going off for about 8 nights in a row. Turning the TV louder doesnt help as the fireworks are so noisy, goodness knows what they sound like to a dogs sensitive ears.

Well I am hoping the weather here puts a stop to the cursed things. We had them yesterday evening too.

We had them going off in a gale the other night. They stopped for a while and then started again.
I forget which shop we were in the other day and they were still selling them and that was after bonfire night. I'm expecting rather a loud night - again.

I went in town yesterday and they are advertising free sparklers with all fireworks bought! We, too had more going off last night. It's pouring down here so hopefully there won't be many going off tonight.

It's not started raining again yet so we have more fireworks going off. I think that they should be banned.

Please let's have no more fireworks going off now until the New Year. Last night was noisier than the actual bonfire night and some of them were so loud they made ME jump, never mind my poor dogs.

As soon as it gets dark & I shut the blinds Damson won't move from her corner, even to have tea. I have been feeding her late afternoon this week so she gets some supper. She just thinks they are going to start again. They were so loud last night I jumped like Carol.

They have just started going off again now, so another night of stress for me and the dogs.

Here too. I am so fed up with them been going on for weeks. Last night I seriously thought there were bombs going off, so so loud. just like some building exploding. Scared the life out of me and today they started at 4pm. I wish they would stop its beyond ridiculous now . Last night it was raining heavily and freezing cold yet they were still at it. Utter madness.

We've had a few more tonight but they weren't too near thankfully. As I've said, they should be banned.

I agree. Maybe they should make you have some kind of license before you are allowed to buy them, but make the license expensive and then maybe they wouldn't buy them. In addition the shops should only be allowed to sell them for 1 day before Bonfire night or mew years eve. and thats it. Might stop them going on for so long.

Mew years eve.... I meant New Lol

I wouldn't have such a problem with them if they weren't so loud. They didn't used to sound like bombs & were just as pretty to look at. I can't see any reason they should be so noisy.

I totally agree Maggie. They are getting louder around here as well. There's not as many as there have been but they are still bad enough.

Well Lottie had been doing so well this year, I think because Molly wasn't at all bothered by them.
We had a new family move in next door so this was their first bonfire night here. Last night they let loads and loads off for a couple of hours, then it stopped. I noticed a bit later it was raining.
They must have gone in because of the rain but unfortunately had a couple left.
They let those off tonight about 6.30. All of a sudden there was such a bang just over the fence, even Molly shot out of her bed in fright!! Two lots and then it was over, only 5 minutes but it's left Lottie back at square one, a panting, trembling wreck!
