I don't really like sweet things, but can be tempted by a lemon meringue pie as long as it is sharp and not too sweet, but I leave the pastry as not keen on that.

You sound like my mum Stan. She'd prefer anything but a pud.
I like trifle with sponges in. We normally only have trifle at Christmas but I do enjoy. I'm like you CB. If we had trifle on a regular basis, we or rather I would eat the lot.

I like warm apple pie as well. It has to be with custard though. I think that I've put pounds on with this thread.
