Dumping an old puzzle? KEEP THE BOX!!!

I don't think there can be too many people out there like me.  At any one time I have around one handred and thirty puzzles.  Having said that, if anybody is dumping old puzzles which no longer have all the pieces, KEEP THE BOX!  It is PERFECT for sending plates if you no longer have the polystyrene molding it came with.  Bubblewrap to excess, put inside the old puzzle box, and then add more bubblewrap before wrapping.  The Post Office are quite capable of damaging a 6" nail!  Bought by the roll, it is not too expensive, and it shows you up as a caring seller.  I've dumped a perfectly good puzzle when I needed a box, but it's been worth it.  I tend to specialise in top quality puzzles, Ravensburger, Falcon and Gibsons, in that order. If the quality is *bleep* or the box damaged, I'll not sell it.  I use myself as a rule of thumb.  If I don't like it, neither will my customer.  My tip for the day.

Thanks Fred good tip,  I don't do puzzles, but my parents do, so I will ask them to keep the boxes.

Glad to pass it on.  I was going to send it off Chat Tips with an appropriate photo - they pay £25.00 for every one printed, but comment space is very limited (about two sentances) and my wife shudders at the thought of seeing my name in print.   (Been doing competition magazines for years - never even won a year's supply of toilet paper! )
