Diet conundrum

Due to medication, a friend has been told by doctor not to eat any green leaf vegetables

She asked about cauliflower florets and was told not to eat those either.

She then asked about red cabbage, and doctor was  totally stumped by that one.

Re: Diet conundrum

i'd aviod anything remotely  vitamin k ish

you can google which foods are worse than others

have they just gone onto the drug?

the medics will want to stop anything  working against it,  so no bad stuff til everythings settled

Re: Diet conundrum

I've just come off a six month course of Warfarin and the only thing I was told  NOT to  eat at all  was cranberries.  I could eat any greens in moderation.  I realise everyone is different though.  Woman Happy

Re: Diet conundrum

My mum's on warfarin and she was told not to eat brocolli, cranberries, spinach and sprouts.  My mum eats cauliflower about four or five times a week and her INR is fine at the moment.
