i think you eat less proteins as they make your brain/body think its fuller quicker
carbs make you eat, and eat and eat and eat
thats why they suggest eating steak (meat ) before your chips and mushrooms
proteins generally make you chewy more, i think thats part f the brain thing
i watched something on tv years ago about it

My mother has porridge every day for breakfast, she is everso good with what she eats, she is quite disciplined but does have a treat every now and then. She is insulin dependant and always carries a Mars bar with her. She has been told not to eat anything that says diabetic on it i.e. jam, yoghurt etc as these things can contain fruit sugar which is as bad for you as ordinary sugar.
