Deno (proper name De Novo) was adopted by FHG posters in 2005 when one of them, Shebalator, rescued him from slaughter.
Then - 700lbs underweight with a broken jaw and multiple other ills.
2008 - still struggling with sarcoids but finally fit enough to have a light rider up for the first time so he could
join his mates on a jaunt round the local lanes
2009 - due to sheb’s declining health, a new home was sought for Deno.
A very brave ebayer named upthecreekyetagain ( very apt name I think you will agree) agreed to take him on.
So, now Deno lives in Surrey with the Creeky family, plus 3 lovely mares. He has 5 acres of grass and orchards to roam in and is very happy.
His sarcoids still remain a problem, but a new vet is investigating them further to decide on the best course of palliative care.

Deno is reliant on fundraising and donations for his food, medicines and all the things that make his world that bit nicer.

Elph (and others) - I'm sorry but the camera is down at the monent - our internet has never been brilliant because of the distance to the exchange but just recently the speed has dropped from around 5mb to less than 2 
BT are on the case and as soon as it's back up I'll give you a shout.
Deno went to his first show since he's been with us on Saturday - he got a rosette for fourth place in the "Most handsom Gelding" class. There was a bit of an argument amongst the judges, 
some of whom wanted to give him first place after hearing his story and the reason for the sarcoid scars.
Oh my goodness, he got placed!

could this be denos youngest rider. this is my lickle grand daughter aged 18 months last weekend on deno with sam, franks daughter.

this is the one he calls the devils horse because he forgot to let go when she decided she wasnt going the same way as him a couple of years ago and he broke his shoulder and blamed the horse 
some of you will know that frank decided to build his own private pub, called the muck heap. its not finished yet but this is how it looks inside so far. this was taken last weekend at the meet
and finally amelia testing the water is the correct temp for the horses tea mix outside the stable food store
