Deno (proper name De Novo) was adopted by FHG posters in 2005 when one of them, Shebalator, rescued him from slaughter.
Then - 700lbs underweight with a broken jaw and multiple other ills.
2008 - still struggling with sarcoids but finally fit enough to have a light rider up for the first time so he could
join his mates on a jaunt round the local lanes
2009 - due to sheb’s declining health, a new home was sought for Deno.
A very brave ebayer named upthecreekyetagain ( very apt name I think you will agree) agreed to take him on.
So, now Deno lives in Surrey with the Creeky family, plus 3 lovely mares. He has 5 acres of grass and orchards to roam in and is very happy.
His sarcoids still remain a problem, but a new vet is investigating them further to decide on the best course of palliative care.
Visits can be arranged, please contact Creeky for more info.
Deno is reliant on fundraising and donations for his food, medicines and all the things that make his world that bit nicer.

As I'm writing this it is 12:30 on a Saturday morning and I've already visited 5 pubs 😮
That's not as bad as it may seem because the 'Welsh Gits' 'Lesha and Talli, are taking part in a sponsored ride in aid of Children in Need. The fact that planned stops on the ride all happen to be pubs is purely accidental.
The day started early, 6:30 am to be precise, with the preparations which included a thorough grooming for the two horses and not quite so thorough a grooming for Megan and Hollie - quickly followed by adorning the 'Gits' with appropriate accessories 😄
By 7:45 they're all ready for the off - of course it had to immediately start raining.
The meeting point is our local country pub, The Fox Revived, about a 20 minute gentle ride. The riders are greeted with bacon sandwiches, the horses with fresh hay.
Stomachs full they all set off for Horley town centre
Of course it's a long way into the town centre, (at least half an hour), so it makes sense to stop at the Bull on the way B-)
Before too long they're on their way again - (having left the pockets of The Bull's customers a little lighter)
Traffic chaos ensues on their way into Horley
Probably time to stop at another pub and give the traffic chance to clear. Luckily there are a couple in the town so a quick stop at Weatherspoons and then onto The Forresters
More locals mugged and its on to the next pub necessary break
This is where I left them - after all 5 pubs in one morning is enough for a man of my age - the riders have another 5 to go 😮

Lulu is off to boarding school
Sam and Lyndsey are transporting her tomorrow to the New Forest where she will be left with for 5 weeks with an "expert" to be properly backed.
She will then spend the the whole of 2013 living with Lyndsey in the New Forest and will be thoroughly schooled.
Assuming all goes well she will be back with us in about 18 months spending equal time here with Sam and in the New Forest with Lyndsey.
Well done on their CIN ride - bet they did turn a few heads 😄
How exciting for Lulu - a proper grown up girl ..... but will she become a lady :^O
