Decided To Organise A Barn Dance In Aid Of Tsunami Appeal

That way we can give a little more and can all have a jolly good giggle too. If anyone lives in Essex and wants to come, I'll keep you posted as to when, where etc.

Off to start putting plan into action (and finish cleaning my windows!).

That's a shame, SM.

Just got in touch with a local-ish group who's barn dances we used to go to years ago and they are going to price something up for me. They are brilliant & I know will make an excellent job of it.

Got to talk to hubs tonight about it (after I've gone to get eldest boy a pair of trousers for school tomorrow cos he's just produced his and said there's a little hole in them and would I sew it up). That's boy language for he's ripped half the leg off!!

That is a great idea fishpieface!

I have been thinking of things I can do personally too, yours is a super idea 🙂 I hope it all goes well. Good luck with the organising!

Hmm - 160 miles. Not that bad. I could drive it but would wet myself when I got to the M25.

Alexia - you're a star - thanks for locking this at the top. Will post details when finalised.

It was a piece of cake yesterday, SM (the M25 I mean) - hardly any traffic, don't know where it had all gone.

Wouldn't it be good if the M25 was really a piece of cake? You could just eat your way round it!

Love to Barn Dance

Love any kind of dance ~ particularly for this kind of venture

Love to drive ~ but Essex is quite a way away from Lancashire unfortunately!

Would probably fall asleep by the time I got there

Sure it will be a good DO though!

Congratulations on thinking of a very good idea that so many people can participate in

Good luck with the organising of it all!

Would love to come but we don't live in Essex any more!

On a similar note, I'd just like to let everyone know that my sister (who is normally the world's greatest chocolate fireguard) organised a coffee morning on the 2nd Jan which raised £2410.00 for the appeal.
It's a good time of year for that sort of event as everyone donated all their unwanted Christmas chocs and gifts for raffle and bring and buy prizes - plus people donated a lot of money anyway.
We have our differences but I was proud of her for doing it.
