BBC Iplayer Recommendations

Hi I am stuck in bed and getting bored.  Can anyone please recommend any drama or thriller series that I can download from BBC Iplayer.  I don't like things like Holby or any of the Soaps - used to love watching Luther when it was on and Prisoners Wives.  Any suggestions gratefully received.  thanks x

Thanks Rednoise - just had a read about that series and it sounded good, but sadly not on Iplayer - will keep any eye open for when it is repeated though - thank you

Apart from Dr Who (which I can`t stand) I think D T is an outstandin actor, in my humble opinion Broardchurch was a masterpiece.

Re: BBC Iplayer Recommendations

Two that I can highly recommend.

THE INDIAN DOCTOR which was on about 4 weeks ago (it was the third series) - set in Wales. Shown on BBC1 at 2.15. I have watched all three series and they are fabulously written and acted and should really have a nighttime viewing.

The second is the series that started this week THE DOCTOR BLAKE MYSTERIES set in 1950's Australia starring Craig  McLachlan (Henry from Neighbours). It is on each day this week and next at 2.15.

I highly recommend both programmes as they are both excellently written and acted and are very easy viewing - nothing too strenuous to tax the brain if you are not well!!!

If you watch them please let me know

Re: BBC Iplayer Recommendations

Can I ask why it's only the BBC you're interested in? All the other main channels have their own version of iPlayer.

I felt like a change ok?

Re: BBC Iplayer Recommendations

Hu Ruthie and Towery - I didn't realise the other channels had their own version. I know that my TV has access to Iplayer so assumed that was the only one that was available. I will have a look at the others. Thank you both for the ideas 🙂

Re: BBC Iplayer Recommendations

No worries. Channel 4 is 4 OD (on demand). Channel 5 is Demand 5 and ITV is ITV player I believe. Good luck in finding something. Smiley Very Happy

Re: BBC Iplayer Recommendations

Thanks Towery - I am struggling to watch lappy whilst in bed (I am having problems with my neck after my ACDR earlier in the year) but just got my husband to hook my laptop up with the TV using an HDMI cable so now I will be able to watch the other stations eg Channel 4, 5 etc. I find it easier to view the TV than the laptop when laying down. I manage the laptop for short periods then have to give up, and I had never thought of things like Crime hour, so many thanks for the suggestions:)
